Playing for over 50 years

I have been a bagpipes fan for a very long time. When I was twelve years old I joined the Scottish pipeband in my hometown in Holland, and my interest turned to Irish pipes in my twenties. In 1979 I moved to Britain to start working with Irish pipemaker Alan Ginsberg in North Wales. After four years I set up on my own, and I have been making pipes ever since, sometimes full time, sometimes part time fitting in with other work commitments. I have recently returned to making pipes on a more active basis following several years working in the trade of timber from sustainably managed forests.
